Smaller traditional institutions and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) communities have generally been overlooked and have, in many cases, lacked the resources to maintain a competitive housing environment both on and off campus. Founded to address the need for improved housing communities, EDC can develop a custom housing community for your campus.
Because EDC was founded by graduates of such institutions, the company has a unique perspective to your challenges. Although smaller traditional institutions and HBCUs share many of the same core issues, we recognize that each institution is unique to its community. We believe that students who attend smaller institutions and HBCUs deserve the same housing opportunities that students who attend larger universities enjoy.
We design and construct each of our housing communities with your campus atmosphere and architectural heritage in mind. We aim to utilize local talent to develop projects that work within the Master Plan of your university.
